Summary

Dr. Pini is a medical oncologist, internist and principal with Premier’s population health management team. Her expertise includes quality improvement, informatics, and value-based care and payment models. She co-leads Clinical Transformation Advisory Services, and serves as a physician advisor and subject matter specialist for the consulting practice, Population Health Management Collaborative, Oncology Care Model Cohort of the Bundled Payment Collaborative, and other groups at Premier. Throughout her career, she has focused on understanding gaps in the quality of care; the impact of care delivery systems and processes on clinical outcomes and healthcare services utilization; and the sustainability of targeted performance improvement interventions to improve care.

Smith leads Premier’s Population Health Economic and Analytical Advisory Services. He designed Premier’s MACRA Roadmap assessments and oversees those engagements, as well as benchmarking members’ ACO performance and consulting on population health. His latest work includes providing analysis of the attributes of successful Pioneer ACOs for the CMS Innovation Learning Systems, developing business models for the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and analyzing regulatory and financial impact for a national healthcare corporation.

After graduating college in May 2015, Crane returned to Premier full-time to work as an analyst in the Premier Performance Partners Quality and Safety division. She was promoted to her current position as Performance Partner in winter 2016. Crane is a Performance Partner within Premier's Quality and Safety consulting division. Her background in business and strategy management has been influential in the development of Premier’s past PQRS and VM offerings and current MIPS offerings.

Erika Sundrud has more than 17 years of experience in healthcare quality, safety and performance improvement. A prominent authority on improving quality at community hospitals and healthcare systems alike, Sundrud has overseen numerous projects focused on improving patient care experience and transitions in care, while stabilizing per capita cost. She is a frequent speaker at healthcare conferences on quality improvement nationwide, and is a system Lean and Six Sigma expert. Sundrud advises healthcare providers throughout the U.S. and acts as an advocate for implementing positive change.
