Madeleine Biondolillo, MD, MBA joined Premier in October 2016 as Vice President of Quality & Safety. Dr. Biondolillo is responsible for strategic quality and population health initiatives to support members in value-based healthcare delivery improvement, and oversees the QUEST 2020 national quality collaborative. A physician executive with extensive management experience in operations, contracting and finance, population health, quality and safety, and performance improvement, Dr. Biondolillo has a proven track record of building long-term partnerships with providers and industry stakeholders in both public and private healthcare organizations.
Relevant Experience:
Before joining Premier, Dr. Biondolillo was Vice President of Population Health Management at the Connecticut Hospital Association where she directed the development and implementation of state and federal innovation efforts. Prior to that she served as a consultant for Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization’s Pioneer ACO in Boston, and led the development of their population health strategy. She served as CEO of a large ambulatory practice affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – one of Boston’s Academic Medical Centers. As a former Associate Commissioner of the MA Department of Public Health overseeing quality and safety as well as policy development related to the ACA and state health reform, Dr. Biondolillo served as Principal Investigator on a $3M Ambulatory Quality and Safety grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Education:
Dr. Biondolillo attended the Tufts University School of Medicine, trained at MetroWest Medical Center and New England Medical Center in Boston, and practiced primary care in hospital, ambulatory, and post-acute settings.
Dena Richardson
Vice President, Product Support Service Informatics and Technology Services
Career Summary:
Dena Richardson is Vice President of Product Support Services at Premier with more than 15 years of experience in healthcare management and operations. Her expertise includes working with physicians and performance improvement teams to identify and implement change concepts in quality of care and outcomes. She has led numerous change efforts to support clinical departments for both clinical and operational performance improvement. She has worked with over 100 hospitals to facilitate the successful use of comparative data in performance improvement, providing technical and data application expertise.
Relevant Experience:
Prior to this role, Richardson was the Director of Best Practices for a nine-hospital integrated delivery network. In this role, she was responsible for leading best practice teams in the pursuit of standardization across the enterprise related to quality, outcomes and cost drivers. These teams were guided by best practice, evidence-based methods. Richardson was also responsible for various ad hoc projects, such as OR turnaround time, PACS process improvement and vendor selection, and clinical equipment evaluation such as DaVinci and breast clinic patient flow.
Education:
Dena received her bachelor’s in business administration and MBA from Radford University. She also completed a leadership program at The University of North Carolina.
